Karl Rove Leaked?
Preamble:
I’m not a big fan of writing about US politics. I do follow events fairly closely and keep myself informed. I prefer to keep my views and analysis to myself.
A conversation about US politics is usually a race to determine if a person should be labelled liberal or conservative. Ad hominem attacks usually follow. Personally, I don’t consider myself liberal or conservative. I don’t like simplistic labels.
Well, here goes.
Newseek is reporting that Karl Rove was the source of the CIA leak. Here is their article by way of MSNBC. For background on the issue, check out this Q&A by the BBC.
I got home from the gym and caught the story on Matt Good’s Blog. I like Matt Good’s music and that is the primary reason I follow his blog. I’m fairly skeptical about claims made by bloggers (Matt Good included) and media in general.
So I hit up Google News. Currently, this story isn’t being aggregated on their front page. A search reveals only four links. Hmm, interesting.
So I flip on the TV. CBC Newsworld is doing a story about Live 8. CNN is doing a People In The News on Lindsay Lohan (I had to do a Google search to ensure I correctly spelt her last name). CNN Headline News is running with the story of the girl in Aruba that is missing. There is an infomercial on CNBC.
Was Rove the source of the leak? I’m not sure. That is a question for the Grand Jury to investigate and answer. Hopefully, they do their job.
What I’m really interested in is the media reaction and the reaction of the Grand Jury themselves.
